

DESCRIPTION
Review the state wage and hour laws along with how to apply them with the federal wage and hour laws. Determining taxation and proper reporting will be reviewing. Policies on multi state taxation and hands on case studies will be done to enhance learning. Special situations and the states laws will be looked at to include deceased wages, unclaimed wages and employee overpayments. Garnishment state concerns will be talked about and what special garnishment reporting requirements that are necessary in some states.
Employers are requiring employees to work more mobile. Employers are also becoming more centralized meaning employees working in more than one state or working in a state different then they resident, it has become more important for employers to understand the laws of the different states to know how to tax an employee to how to pay them and when.
Any employer that has employees in more than one state should attend this course. In 60 mins session the attendee will walk away with the data needed to understand how to process, tax and maintain employees in multiple states.
